Need an Electric Fence COC in Ruiterhof?

Considering a new electric fence at your Ruiterhof home or business? Start with the boundary and how the property is used, then discuss equipment with Wesslink. We can assess an electric fence installation and explain the inspection and work required before an electric fence COC can be considered.

A package price or equipment list should not replace assessment of the intended installation. Explain the property and proposed route before committing to components.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Plan the fence as a complete property job.

For a Ruiterhof owner installing a fence for the first time, a clear enquiry should include the walls, entrances and areas used by people or animals. If part of the perimeter is shared or managed, resolve authority and applicable approval before asking an installer to change it. The right discussion begins with your actual site.

01

You have only an approximate perimeter length

Provide it as an estimate and explain the boundary shape and entrances. Do not climb walls to measure near electrical hazards. Ask what needs confirming on site before the route, equipment and installation work can be quoted accurately.

02

Several packages contain different components

Ask what each proposal includes and why it is suitable for your intended installation. Keep optional additions separate from the necessary work. A larger equipment specification is not a substitute for a clear route, proper installation and the relevant assessment.

03

The wall or gate is not finished yet

Explain the planned final arrangement and which contractor will complete it. Agree the sequence so fence work does not need to be guessed around temporary structures. If an existing fence is present elsewhere on the property, tell Wesslink how the new work relates to it.

Know what you should receive when the work is complete.

Ask the quotation to identify the installation work, any separate building requirements and the inspection or follow-up included. Obtain applicable property permissions before proceeding. A clear proposal also states what is excluded, so you can arrange wall repairs, vegetation clearance or other work with the appropriate contractor.

At completion, retain the work description, relevant fence documents and equipment instructions. Ask for normal user operation to be explained and for any remaining items to be identified. If electric fence repairs are needed later, those records help the next technician understand the installed system without relying on a package name or a photograph of a similar unit.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.

  2. 02

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

Ruiterhof installation costs depend on the intended route, existing structures, equipment and access. Describe your needs and any known restrictions before comparing quotations. Ask how changes or additional findings would be handled, rather than assuming an initial estimate includes every item on a property not yet assessed.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Is an electric fence compliance certificate included automatically with an equipment purchase?

Buying equipment is not the same as having the fence installed and assessed. Ask the installer what work, inspection and documentation the quotation includes, and state your certification requirement clearly.

When can the electric fence certificate of compliance be issued for a new fence?

The relevant installation needs to be completed and assessed, with required defects addressed. Discuss the sequence with Wesslink rather than treating a promised delivery date for equipment as the certification date.

Is your electric fence alarming soon after installation?

Report the symptom and provide the installation record. Electric fence fault finding can assess the concern. Do not change settings, add wires or bypass sections in an attempt to complete the installer’s work yourself.

Can I keep an existing section and add a new one?

Explain the intended arrangement and provide available records. The installer needs to assess how the work relates to the existing system before recommending an approach or quoting the alteration.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
