ELECTRIC FENCE COC · SHARONLEA
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a resident arrange an electric fence compliance certificate for a community fence?+
Raise the request with the responsible community body so authority, records and access are arranged. A private resident can report the need, while the authorised contact coordinates the installation assessment.
Who keeps the electric fence certificate of compliance after community work?+
The responsible body should retain it with the installation and maintenance records. For a private home, keep the document with that property’s records. Make the installation covered clear whenever copies are shared.
Is your electric fence alarming while a community alarm is also reported?+
Tell Wesslink what your own equipment is doing and share the separate report as context. The actual systems need assessment. Do not assume both symptoms have one cause or change shared controls yourself.
Are all Sharonlea fences managed by the same organisation?+
Confirm the arrangement for your specific address and fence. Ask the owner, managing agent or relevant community contact. This avoids sending a private repair to the wrong body or instructing work on equipment you do not control.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
