ELECTRIC FENCE COC · SUNDOWNER
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can I arrange an electric fence compliance certificate inspection after an interruption?+
Yes. Explain any current fault at the same time. The relevant installation must be assessed and required defects addressed; an interruption history alone neither confirms nor rules out the need for repairs.
Should I provide the earlier electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Yes, with later repair or alteration records. It helps describe the installation history while the current condition is assessed. Keep the original wording intact and explain any changes separately.
Is your electric fence alarming even though the house power is back?+
Report the current message or sound and the sequence already observed. Leave the equipment unchanged and arrange assessment. Do not assume that restored house power means the fence has returned to normal operation.
Does the energiser battery automatically need replacement?+
That cannot be decided from the interruption alone. Wesslink can assess the equipment and installation, then explain any recommended work. Avoid replacing parts or opening the unit based on a general online suggestion.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
