ELECTRIC FENCE COC · THATCHFIELD
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Does a sectional-title address remove the need to ask the HOA about perimeter records?+
No. The HOA’s published newsletter includes sectional-title schemes in the wider estate arrangements. Clarify which installation the document request concerns with the appropriate managing agent and HOA contact.
Can I assume Thatchfield Ridge has the same arrangements?+
Confirm the exact management and current rules for Ridge. Historical references and a shared place name are not enough to transfer every HOA instruction to a separately named development.
Does added razor wire count as an electric fence certificate?+
No. A physical barrier improvement is not itself electrical certification. Identify whether any energised equipment was altered and request the relevant records or assessment for that work.
Should I rely on an old newsletter for contractor working hours?+
Use it for background only. Confirm the current arrangements for the intended date and work, especially where temporary shutdown or holiday notices may have expired.
Is your electric fence alarming beside a Thatchfield perimeter property?+
Give the HOA the estate section, affected boundary and times when the alarm occurs. Wesslink can arrange electric fence fault finding once management confirms the instruction and access. Mention recent boundary work or visible growth near the wires when reporting the problem.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
