Need an Electric Fence COC in The Villas, Waterfall?

Has garden or boundary work at The Villas left you unsure about an existing fence? Ask the property manager to arrange an assessment before it is treated as finished. Wesslink can discuss electric fence repairs, inspection and an electric fence COC for the relevant installation, with any changes agreed by the authorised property representative.

A private garden and the wider estate perimeter may have different maintenance arrangements. Identify the equipment concerned before commissioning work.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Include the fence when outdoor work is being planned.

The Villas, Waterfall is a rental cluster development within Waterfall Country Estate’s perimeter. Its homes have private gardens, with swimming pools described in the development information. For work close to an existing electric fence, explain what will change outside the home and who controls the affected boundary. A garden’s use by one household does not establish permission to alter shared equipment.

01

A screen, pergola or raised area is proposed

Ask for the design to be considered before it is built close to fence equipment. Structures can change access to the wires or the conditions around the installation. Wesslink can assess the relevant fence requirements alongside the approved plan, while the property manager confirms the landlord and estate permissions for the outdoor project.

02

Painting or wall repairs have just finished

Tell the inspector whether wires, brackets or other components were moved during the work. Provide the contractor’s description rather than assuming everything was reconnected correctly because the wall looks complete. If a fence symptom began during the project, record it and arrange assessment; do not reach up to adjust components or paint around energised wires yourself.

03

A garden or pool contractor needs access

Explain where people and equipment will work and which fence sections may be affected. The contractors should coordinate suitable arrangements before starting. An electric fence certificate of compliance concerns the electric fence system; it is not a certificate for a pool barrier, building alteration or unrelated electrical equipment elsewhere in the garden.

Make sure the final inspection matches the finished garden.

A proposed electric fence installation or alteration should be assessed in the surroundings where it will operate. Tell Wesslink about planned changes that are not yet visible on site, including new structures and changes in access. If other trades still need to move equipment, arrange the work sequence so the final inspection is not followed immediately by unrecorded alterations.

For an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry, supply earlier documents and the description of outdoor work already completed. Ask for necessary corrections to be explained before approval. Once work is finished, retain the findings and completed-work record with the property manager’s documents. A tenant should know where to report a later concern, without being expected to diagnose or maintain shared equipment.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

For The Villas, give Wesslink the house reference, affected boundary and the outdoor work being planned or completed. A safe photograph can help explain the enquiry. The actual inspection determines necessary corrections; quotations should identify fence work separately from landscaping, wall repairs and any other contractor’s responsibilities.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Is your electric fence alarming since garden work was completed?

Describe the work and when the symptom appeared. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation without assuming that the garden contractor caused a particular defect. Avoid moving wires or vegetation near the equipment to test the theory.

Can the pool contractor alter the electric fence while working nearby?

Do not assume fence alterations are included in that contractor’s work. Arrange the relevant fence assessment and approvals separately, then coordinate the jobs so neither team leaves changes that the other has not accounted for.

Does the electric fence certificate certify my pool enclosure?

No. The fence-system certificate is not a general approval of the pool enclosure or landscaping. Discuss the particular installation and any separate compliance questions with the appropriate professionals.

Should I arrange the inspection before or after the garden project?

Discuss the plan beforehand to identify likely fence implications. The completed installation then needs the appropriate inspection and testing, with any further changes disclosed rather than assumed to be covered by an earlier assessment.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
