ELECTRIC FENCE COC · VICTORY PARK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can I request an electric fence compliance certificate inspection for an existing street-facing fence?+
Yes. Provide the property details, available records and specific concerns. The relevant installation needs assessment, including the items the inspector identifies, before certification can be considered.
Does an electric fence certificate of compliance cover a later frontage alteration?+
Describe the change and provide the earlier certificate for review. The current installation needs the appropriate assessment rather than assuming the old document applies to a changed boundary arrangement.
Is your electric fence alarming near the pedestrian entrance?+
Keep visitors away from damaged parts and describe the timing and location. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation. Do not move wires or repeatedly operate the entrance to test the cause.
Can I just replace a missing warning sign myself?+
Ask for the installation’s warning arrangements to be assessed, and do not work near fence wires yourself. A damaged sign may be the visible concern, while other parts of the fence also require inspection.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
