ELECTRIC FENCE COC · VORNA VALLEY
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming when the gate is used?+
Describe the indication and ordinary sequence you observed. Ask for an assessment of the fence and any relevant entrance work rather than trying repeated tests yourself.
Does a warning mean the gate motor needs replacing?+
The symptom alone does not establish that. Ask the relevant contractor to assess the reported problem and explain the findings before replacement is approved.
Can I arrange an electric fence compliance certificate after repairs?+
Yes, discuss the required inspection and tests when booking. Necessary corrections and relevant supporting work must be completed before certification follows a compliant result.
What if different companies work on the gate and fence?+
Nominate a coordinating contact and ask each contractor to identify its work and completion requirements. Keep outstanding actions explicit.
Should the electric fence certificate of compliance identify the gate work too?+
Ask the issuer to explain the installation assessed. Retain the separate gate-work record alongside it so the owner has both descriptions without confusing their scope.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
