ELECTRIC FENCE COC · WATERBERG FIELDS ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming near a shared estate area?+
Report the location and warning to management. Authorised electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation. Residents should not approach the fence to confirm the cause or adjust equipment.
Can a homeowner arrange repairs to the estate perimeter?+
Ask the responsible manager to authorise and coordinate the work. A report from a resident is helpful, but alterations to shared equipment need the appropriate instruction.
How is an electric fence compliance certificate arranged for shared fencing?+
The authorised manager should identify the installation, provide records and arrange the required access. Certification follows the required inspection and passing tests.
When can the affected route be used again?+
Follow the manager’s instructions after the work is assessed and completed. If items remain outstanding, ask what restrictions or separate arrangements continue rather than assuming the area is ready.
What should management keep after completion?+
Retain the repair details, outstanding-item close-out and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued. Keep the relevant equipment and location information for the next maintenance request.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
