ELECTRIC FENCE COC · WILLOWBROOK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be requested for a fence left unused?+
Yes. Explain why it was left unused and any changes made. The relevant installation needs assessment, with necessary repairs and inspection addressed before certification can be completed.
Should restoration work stay with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep the completed-work details with the relevant documents. Identify any temporary changes that were corrected and the installation that remains, so future maintenance starts from an accurate record.
Is your electric fence alarming whenever you try to use it again?+
Stop experimenting with the controls and report the symptom and earlier history. Arrange professional assessment instead of repeatedly switching it on to see whether the warning has gone away.
Can I request repairs without replacing the entire fence?+
Ask for the current condition and repair options to be assessed. The findings should explain what can be addressed and why any replacement is proposed, rather than assuming every unused installation needs the same solution.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
