ELECTRIC FENCE COC · WINDSOR EAST
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can one tenant request an electric fence compliance certificate for the building?+
A tenant can raise the enquiry, while the responsible owner or manager coordinates authority and access. Identify the shared installation and available records before arranging the assessment.
Where should the electric fence certificate of compliance be held for several blocks?+
Keep it with the responsible property record holder and make the installation covered clear. Separate documents or work records should not be mixed simply because the buildings have similar names.
Is your electric fence alarming behind a Windsor East block?+
Report the exact building and side concerned to the managing contact. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the system. Keep residents away from damaged parts and do not ask them to disconnect a section.
Can findings be sent to the managing agent?+
Nominate the authorised recipient when booking and explain who approves repairs. A clear work description helps management communicate the relevant outcome without exposing private codes or implying that neighbouring installations were inspected.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
