ELECTRIC FENCE COC · DAINFERN GOLF ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Does buying a home in Dainfern Golf Estate mean I need a separate fence inspection?+
First establish whether the home has a separate electric fence system. If the request concerns the estate’s shared perimeter, ask the estate representative and conveyancer which existing records are required. Do not assume every home has its own fence to certify.
Can a resident authorise testing of the estate perimeter?+
The work needs approval from the party responsible for that shared installation. Provide the management or security contact so access and testing can be agreed. The authority to admit a visitor to a home is not automatically authority to work on communal security equipment.
How should a contractor visit be arranged in Dainfern Golf Estate?+
Start with the person responsible for the installation. Confirm the approved access arrangements and the contact who will meet the inspector. Where testing could affect perimeter monitoring, arrange it with the estate’s security team before the visit.
What should I send if the managing agent only asked for an electric fence COC?+
Send the wording of the request, the property reference and any existing certificate. Clarifying the installation at this stage is more useful than assuming that the request means a new certificate for every individual house.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
