ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HYDE PARK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Should I mention new garden furniture if nobody touched the fence?+
Yes, where it materially changes access near the wires. Describe its position and let the inspector assess the actual arrangement rather than assuming the previous conditions still apply.
Does a private garden mean I own the fence next to it?+
Not necessarily. Check the installation's responsibility with the relevant owner or manager. Private use of an outdoor space alone does not identify who controls a neighbouring or shared fence.
Can my gardener cut growth touching the fence before the inspection?+
Do not arrange work against energised wires. Tell the installer about the growth so safe clearance and any necessary inspection can be coordinated with the responsible people.
Does every Hyde Park roof terrace require an electric fence COC?+
No fence is assumed merely because a property has a terrace. First identify whether there is an electric fence installation involved and what the certificate request actually concerns.
Is your electric fence alarming after garden work in Hyde Park?+
Tell Wesslink what changed in the garden or terrace and when the alarms began. We can carry out electric fence fault finding and inspect the affected boundary. If the equipment is shared, ask the responsible manager to arrange access and approve any quoted repairs.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
