ELECTRIC FENCE COC · PARKMORE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
What access is needed for the electric fence certificate of compliance assessment?+
Arrange the relevant fence route and equipment access, not only the front gate. Explain locked or separately controlled areas before booking so necessary arrangements can be made.
Is your electric fence alarming behind a locked part of the property?+
Report the observation and arrange access through the responsible person. Do not climb, force entry or handle equipment to investigate before the contractor attends.
Should I send the nearest map entrance?+
Confirm the route available for the actual appointment with your property contact. Include the full address and suitable entrance, since neighbourhood access arrangements may differ from a map’s shortest route.
Can the inspection be completed if only the front section is accessible?+
The required assessment depends on the installation being considered. Explain the limitation and arrange appropriate access; an unavailable section should not be represented as inspected.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
