ELECTRIC FENCE COC · RIVONIA VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTRE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Which entrance should I give for an authorised centre visit?+
Use the entrance agreed with the responsible facilities contact for the actual work. Public shopper directions may not provide access to the relevant equipment.
Is your electric fence alarming near one entrance only?+
Identify the normal indication and observed location without testing the gate or touching wires. Provide the information for assessment, including any earlier work on that section.
Can an electric fence certificate of compliance be completed if one relevant area is locked?+
Explain the access limit beforehand. The necessary assessment must be completed, and any outstanding area should remain clearly identified rather than assumed satisfactory.
Can a home near Rivonia Village use the same booking details?+
Use the centre as a landmark if helpful, but provide the home’s own address, entrance, owner contact and fence records.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
