ELECTRIC FENCE COC · SUNNINGHILL
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Does an emergency repair invoice replace the electric fence COC?+
No. It may be useful evidence of work completed, but the invoice and certificate serve different purposes. Provide both, together with any later changes, for an informed assessment.
Can I send photographs taken before the repair?+
Yes, if they were taken safely and show relevant damage. Label them with the date and explain that they show the earlier condition. They do not replace examination of the repaired installation.
Should the inspector receive the whole incident file?+
Provide information relevant to the installation, repairs and access. Avoid sending unrelated personal, security or investigative material simply because it forms part of the same incident.
What if the repairer said another visit was necessary?+
Treat that as an open item and provide the wording of the recommendation. Clarify what remains before describing the job as complete or relying on the repaired installation for certification.
Is your electric fence alarming again after a repair?+
Send the latest alarm times with the previous repair report. For electric fence fault finding, tell us whether the same symptom has returned and whether the repairer left any temporary measures in place. Inspection findings should guide any further replacement.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
