ELECTRIC FENCE COC · WATERFORD ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Does one Waterford address identify the correct managing party?+
Not necessarily. The estate contains different schemes. Include the full scheme and property details, then ask the responsible manager who holds the installation records and may arrange work.
Can an apartment owner authorise inspection of the whole estate fence?+
A private booking is not evidence of authority over the estate's shared systems. Ask management to confirm the scope and responsible commissioning party before scheduling shared work.
My quotation uses Waterford but my paperwork says Riverside Lodge. Is that wrong?+
It needs clarification, not an automatic rejection. Ask the issuer to explain the property and installation covered. Consistent references help everyone understand whether the documents address the same work.
Must an existing certificate be replaced because I cannot find a copy?+
First request the record from the seller, managing party or original issuer where known. If it cannot be recovered or later changes need assessment, explain that history when arranging the next step.
Is your electric fence alarming near Waterford Villas or Riverside Lodge?+
Give the scheme name, unit reference, affected boundary and alarm times. For electric fence fault finding on a shared fence, ask the managing agent to approve the visit and arrange access. Wesslink can check the reported section and explain any repairs needed.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
