ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ZANDSPRUIT
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can temporary site fencing simply become the permanent fence?+
Have the actual arrangement assessed for the intended use. Do not assume temporary equipment, supports or connections are suitable without the necessary professional evaluation and corrections.
Is your electric fence alarming while building work continues?+
Report the normal indication and recent work sequence. Keep people clear of suspect equipment and arrange investigation instead of improvising a supply or bypass.
Can an electric fence certificate of compliance be issued before every project task is finished?+
Explain which tasks affect the fence. The relevant installation must be ready for the necessary assessment, with required corrections completed; unrelated project dates do not decide the result.
Who should keep the final fence documents?+
Give them to the responsible property owner or manager with the completed-work record and any clearly identified remaining action, so the next occupant has an accurate handover.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
