AT YOUR PROPERTY
For surge protection in Constantia Kloof, identify the boards and occupied areas included in the request. A price for one tenant's board should be easy to distinguish from a proposal covering several suites or shared equipment.
For offices in the Constantia Basin or Panorama Office Park, send the areas to be assessed and the contacts who can open them. If the enquiry is for a Constantia Kloof home, give the residential address and identify any separate buildings or boards you want included.
THE WORK TO DISCUSS
Use one written equipment and board list when asking for prices.

BEFORE THE VISIT
Use the building's existing labels rather than creating new technical descriptions.
PLANNING THE WORK
The result should show what was inspected and what the proposed price includes.
Agree the tenant and shared areas before attendance.
Wesslink assesses the relevant installation and devices.
Identify areas awaiting access or information.
Keep device installation and any repairs separately identifiable.
WHAT THE QUOTE INCLUDES
Compare board coverage, device proposals and repairs alongside the total. Ask whether access to another suite or plant area would require a separate visit before deciding that two prices cover the same job.

A surge protective device limits transient overvoltage and diverts surge energy. It helps reduce risk; it does not make equipment immune to every event or voltage disturbance.
SPDs are selected and coordinated for the supply, earthing, exposure, boards and equipment. Different Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 roles may be relevant.
A structural lightning-protection system has a different role. Direct strikes, induced lightning, utility switching and internally generated transients must not be treated as one diagnosis.
A surge should not be diagnosed remotely. Transformers and network switching can create transient conditions, but protection cannot be promised against every voltage disturbance.
There is no universal number of surge protectors for every property. Map the incoming supply, earthing and exposure; trace main and downstream boards, cable distances and critical loads; include relevant power, data and control lines; then coordinate the selected device roles.

Manufacturer guidance should be applied to the specific installation.
CHECK BEFORE YOU NEED TO CLAIM
Your insurer’s requirements matter. Check your current policy schedule, surge-cover benefits, limits, excesses, exclusions and any protection requirements with your insurer or broker.
Installing an SPD does not automatically secure a payout. Equally, the absence of a particular device does not establish automatic rejection under every policy. Claim treatment also depends on the actual cause.
Keep incident photographs, equipment details, installation records, assessments and repair evidence. Record previous damage as evidence rather than assuming a cause.
LOCAL ELECTRICAL SUPPORT
Send your exact address, property type and equipment concerns to request a quotation. Confirm access and current availability when booking.
Yes. List the suites and arrange access to the relevant boards. Ask Wesslink to identify the work for each area and any common equipment included.
Check that both cover the same boards, equipment and access. Compare the devices, electrical repairs and exclusions, and ask about any area that was not inspected.
Collect each tenant's equipment list and repair findings separately, then give the building contact the combined information. Wesslink can discuss the electrical assessment without treating every reported failure as one confirmed event.

No. Coordinated SPDs and a structural lightning-protection system have different roles. Direct strikes, induced lightning, utility switching and internally generated transients are not interchangeable.
Yes. Give your residential address and describe the equipment and boards you want assessed. The enquiry does not need to involve an office park or shared building.
No. Policy treatment depends on the insurer, plan, schedule, limits, excesses, optional benefits, exclusions and actual cause. Check current policy wording and preserve incident, installation and repair evidence.
